Gossip of the Starlings

Gossip Girl has nothing on this novel. Set at an all-girls prep school on the eve of Reagan’s re-election, it captures all the aspects of privileged life—equestrian shows, homes on Cape Cod, and late-night cocaine binges. I was completely sucked in to the world of Catherine Morrow, the girl trying to set her reputation right, and of Skye Butterfield, the sparkling senator’s daughter bent on a downward spiral.
