I'm a mom of two teenagers and the wife of an amazing man and, at heart, a loner who doesn't like to be alone. Step #2 - Write Five Fun/Interesting Facts about yourself.   

1. I had my first small aircraft flight lesson on the same day I first met with my last divorce lawyer. (That’s a lotta firsts and lasts! I shoulda traded in that husband for my pilot’s license a lot sooner!)

2. I have five brothers and three sisters.

3. In my job as a reporter, I was a circus clown, ER nurse, firefighter (in actual burning building), trash collector (rode on the back of the truck) and learned how to wolf whistle, garden, scuba dive (certified) and attempted (unsuccessfully) to do cartwheels and stop throwing like a girl.

4. I ran away from home when I was 16 and never returned home.

5. I’m sitting in the loft of an 8x10 ft. cabin (not the new one we’re building from scratch a few yards away) on top of a mountain in the middle of a freezing rainstorm (where is the snow to make it worth it?!?) and loving life.
