WELCOME To From the Inside Out...

Welcome to My Affirmation Journal....where I will be helping You to start your journal process by sharing my work and giving you prompts and questions to help you on hearing your messages from the Inside Out.

As you can see by the date on this journal entry it is from 2006.  I actually  started my gratitude journal in 2004 and continued that for several years, before I started doing the affirmations. I would suggest that you work with your journal in whatever way makes you comfortable. The more comfortable that you become while journaling the more likely you are to keep it up.

When I first started doing this affirmation journal...I started with key words every morning after lighting my candle. I would sit quietly and start the page with...

I AM or TODAY IS A DAY OF...or THIS IS MY. As I did this something started to happen a word would come to mind, or an image would show up that I would paint on the paper and the words would follow afterwards.

Being an artist I am a very visual person. And at many of the workshops I have had people tell me that they “just don’t see it”. That’s OK...you may not see it, but there are other things that provoke an emotional response from you, sometime you are not even sure why. Take a magazine and leaf through it, I am going to bet that you are generated to some picture in it. A picture that causes a response from you. If you look at that picture and dig a little deeper, it may very well have a message to give you from inside. Give this a try if you are not getting a visual response from yourself, and also know that you do not have to have paintings or drawings, doodles or pictures in your journal at all. Make it yours...make it your way.

I leave you today, with a prompt to jump start your journal if you need one.
Reread the affirmation above that I wrote and then say to yourself...

I AM....

Artfully Yours,
Patricia
